I love coats. Don't you ? I've loved coats ever since I can remember . Growing up in NY there was always a need for a new coat every winter . This year at NY Fashion Week, coats were a big hit . 

Coats come in every shape , style and sizes stealing the spotlight from high heels.

When you splurge on a new coat you take your look to a different level .

From Charcoal to Slate , Grey is IN this fall season ladies ! It was all over the runways at NY Fashion week. If you have grey slacks , jackets , blazers and skirts ... Take them out of your closet and wear them !

Fun Fab Fashion re - creations

Have you ever looked through a fashion magazine or People magazine and  wished you could re create a celebrity's outfit?  Or perhaps you are on Pintrest and see pictures of cool Fashions ...Maybe fab fashion outfits come through your Facebook feed ? 

Well , no matter where you see the outfits, It is possible to re -create them.

First,  look through your closet and see what you have. You save a lot of money by going to your closet first. Second,(here comes the funner part ) go Shopping ! 

Once you know what fashion pieces you need, go shopping for the rest . You can hit the mall, thrift stores, online etc.

I prefer to use the Poshmark app to search for our fashion items.. I have access to thousands of listings by category and price . This cool app makes it easier for me to find what I need.

Who inspires me to do  these fun challenges ? My friend  @specialk104. She finds and sends me a picture of my fashion challenge and I get to work in re creating it. She's been doing it a while and has some completed challenges under her belt. 

It is so fun to search for the fashion pieces and come as close as possible to the picture. Be creative and give yourself permission to add your own twist to the outfit .

Peacock fashion hot or not?

Peacock fashion was hot a few years ago but I still see it around on blogs & shopping sites. I do love the bold blues and greens in the print . What do you think ? Hot or not ?

Do you still own a peacock fashion piece? I have one tank top that I love but it's not that " peacock-y". Is that even a word?

How to wear animal print without lookin too Jerseylicious like

Animal print is on trend ! It never goes out of style . Fashionistas need to know how to pair these pieces properly so they don't look like they belong on a Jerselicious episode .

Don't get me wrong I'm a fan of the show . I look forward to what new fashions they are wearing each week  but I'm not liking all the animal print that runs wild on the show.

Here are my Suggestions :

1. Wear animal print with neutral colors .Stay away from neon animal print. It's a fad print.

2. Buy animal print accessories to help ramp an outfit . 

3. Buy timeless pieces ie. fitted blazer , silk wrap dress , and pieces that flatter your figure without being too revealing 

4.Only Wear an animal print with a non animal print one ie. wear an animal print with a single cream color cardigan and shoes that blend well with your outfit .

5. If you feel like you have to match , you can do so with your accessories . Provided they don't clash.

 

6. Go single 

You will never go wrong if you wear only one piece of animal print while the rest of your outfit is entirely neutral.

Camo Fashion never not on Trend

Fashion never comes and goes ... It lingers ... Keeps a low profile .. Hides out of sight then Bam! Here it comes again ! It comes back paired up with something new , tweaked and improved.

Take camo for instance . It's BACK ! It was big a few years back . It was fashionable , but not as fashionable as RIGHT now . (You might say " Camo ? Ugh that's ugly ") . It only looks ugly if you don't know how to dress it up .

I had a few pieces in my closet but I recently gave away . ( I really should of kept them 😢)  I think I got sick of seeing them in my closet .. Just hanging there . (I could kick myself for giving them away) 

Since I no longer had these pieces I had to run around trying to find some . I finally found a versatile camo fashion vest. It can be worn with a lot of different fashion statement pieces.
