What was your #ootd? 

There are many ways to celebrate and incorporate the red , white and blue in your 4th of July outfits . 

Here is how I used the red, white and blue : 

I paired an Old Navy top with cut offs and Birkenstocks . 

Here's another look : 

I wore a blue cotton halter romper , my swim suit top underneath and my Nine West silver bling sandals .

Benefit and Blue

It's been a while my peeps but I'm back with a quick review of a new blue Benefit Mascara .

 I visited the Ulta Benefit counter today because I had been dying to try the They're Real blue mascara that just came out yesterday 6/26/15. I knew I was in love the moment I tried it on . 

Isn't it pretty? 

The new colors are perfect for summer . The brown one takes you into fall and winter .

JLO Street Style

Who or What  inspired your outfit today ? 

If you know me you already know that my favorite artists are MJ, Sting , John Bon Jovi and JLo .

Today I'm sharing with you a few JLo street styles I have re created for a fashion challenge that my friend Alexis and I host every month on the Poshmark app.

Each month , we pick a style to re create and others join us in sharing their styles too. 

This month was JLo Street Style. Jennifer Lopez' fashion style is on point . She can go from red carpet to Street style and nail it each time . 

I grew up in era of Street Style and Hip Hop so this look is very dear to my heart. I'm a NY girl from a Long Island block . 

I love jeans , sneakers and jackets .

Here is the first look I re created using my own pieces and some finds.

The second look I re created is this one :

 I switched out the jeans for a more edgier look but kept the vest .

Notice how she used JLo's  iconic leather jacket in her outfit . The boots were a nice addition .

Happy New Year fashionistas! 

New Year , New ideas right ? 

My first blog post of the year is dedicated to showcasing a fellow fashionistas' Inspired look. 

She is a fellow Poshmark PFF . I had the pleasure of meeting her at Poshfest 2014. 

Catrina Farr (owner of C Farr Dezignz & Poshmark Closet under cfarrdezignz) designed & styled these black and white polka dot pants with the pop of color attached red belt.  She was inspired by the Minnie Mouse character who’s popular for wearing the red and white polka dot dress with a pop of color yellow shoe.  

Catrina kept the look clean and sharp, but added that red pop of color in the belt and shoes.  This makes this a fun & interesting look.  

This look confirms that sometimes less is more .

Remember anything can  inspire your look , or outfit of the day even Minnie Mouse . 

Here's a bit about Catrina :

Catrina Farr was born and raised in Chicago, IL.  She graduated from Dunbar Vocational H.S. with her major in painting and decorating.  She then attended Columbia College Chicago where she received her BA in Fashion Design.  

Catrina has always been very articulate with her hair and clothes while in High School.  She has always been creative and has always wanted to stand out from the crowd.  

She has showcased her designs in various Fashion Shows throughout the state of Illinois while she was still enrolled in college as well as after she graduated.  

Her favorite saying “Why Fit In When You Can Stand Out” is what allows Catrina to create her own path instead of following behind others.  Please check out more of her custom looks on her Poshmark Closet :
